What is Availability?
Availability is defined as a fraction of time the system is providing service
to its users. With the ubiquity of computer and systems, the importance
of high availability is being recognized. In this website we provide
definitions and information on modeling methodologies, important books and
articles on this topic. We also provide information on software packages that
have been used for availability predictions of real-life systems.

A short course (3-days) on System Availability Modeling
Working with your team in developing system availability models for the systems of interest to you. Such models can be rather comprehensive so as to include different failure modes, different types of repair, various kinds of dependencies, hardware as well as software failures and performance combined with availability.
Software packages, SHARPE and SPNP.
